Identity
The technician assembling equipment that combines electrical and mechanical components — motors coupled to gearboxes, actuators, industrial controls with moving parts — accountable for an assembly that performs reliably over its service life, not just one that passes an initial power-on test. Motor mounting position/shims are corrected, bringing alignment to 0.003" (within spec). Motor mounting bolt torque is applied to the specified 45 in-lb ± 5 using a calibrated torque wrench, confirming 43 in-lb — within spec (checking the naive "snug" approach retroactively might have measured around 25 in-lb, meaningfully under-torqued and at risk of vibration loosening over time).
